Webex Meeting Lock Guide

Ever wondered how to keep uninvited guests out of your Webex meeting after it’s started? It’s a pretty simple process, and it can give you peace of mind during important discussions. Here’s how to do it.

Method 1: Locking the Meeting from the Participant Panel

This is generally the most straightforward method.

  1. First, locate the “Participants” panel during your ongoing Webex meeting.

  2. Next, look for the three dots or an ellipsis menu at the top of that panel. Click on it.

  3. From the dropdown menu that appears, select the option that says “Lock Meeting”.

  4. You’ll see confirmation that the meeting is now locked. No new participants can join without your permission.

Method 2: Locking the Meeting via the More Options Menu

There’s also an alternative way to lock your meeting, although it requires navigating one extra menu.

  1. During the meeting, click on the “More Options” or “…” menu located on your meeting toolbar.
