T-Mobile Starlink Beta Now Open to All: Use It on Your Samsung Galaxy Phone

The T-Mobile Starlink beta, initially exclusive to T-Mobile subscribers, is now accessible to everyone. This means Verizon and AT&T customers can also experience the service for free.

There’s no need for specialized satellite-enabled phones to use the Starlink beta. T-Mobile has stated that the service is compatible with numerous smartphones released in the last four years, including many Samsung Galaxy phones from that period.

Utilizing Automatic Connection

The most seamless method involves allowing your phone to automatically connect to the Starlink network when standard cellular coverage is unavailable. This requires no manual configuration.

Signing Up Via the T-Mobile Website

Samsung Galaxy phone owners in the United States can register for the beta via T-Mobile’s website. Participation isn’t limited to T-Mobile subscribers; Verizon and AT&T customers are also welcome.

When connected to the Starlink service, users can send and receive text messages at no cost. Group texts and reactions are also supported. Sending photos, making voice calls, and using data are not currently supported, but are planned for the future.

This service is offered as a free trial until July 2025. After the trial period, Verizon and AT&T customers can continue using the service for $20 per month. T-Mobile subscribers on the Go5G Next plan will retain free access, while subscribers on other plans can add it for $15 per month.

Your phone will automatically connect to the T-Mobile Starlink network when you are outside the range of a cell tower. This service is particularly beneficial for those who frequently visit remote locations with limited coverage. It might not be as useful for those primarily in cities or towns with strong cellular signals.

This expanded accessibility offers a valuable connectivity solution for users in areas with poor cellular coverage.
