Software Update Addresses Galaxy S25 Ultra Camera Glitch

The Galaxy S25 Ultra aims to provide a superior mobile photography experience. However, some users have reported an issue with the camera’s image processing, resulting in noticeable banding in photos.

This issue detracts from the expected premium experience. Fortunately, Samsung has acknowledged the problem and is addressing it with a software update.

Galaxy S25 series Receives Initial Update

Reports regarding this issue have surfaced primarily on platforms like Reddit and Samsung’s community forums. The problem doesn’t appear to be widespread, suggesting it could be a minor software glitch easily rectified through an update.

The reported problem primarily affects pictures taken in Night Mode, which show distinct horizontal or vertical bands. Some users have also observed similar artifacts in photos captured with the Galaxy S25+.

The banding tends to be more pronounced toward the edges of the affected photos. The fact that the problem is absent in other camera modes suggests a software-related issue with the post-processing, rather than a hardware defect.

The company has acknowledged these “limited number of cases” and has released a fix in the latest software update. Samsung has begun deploying the initial update for the Galaxy S25 series, which is expected to resolve this issue.

Samsung has already released an update to address the camera issue affecting some Galaxy S25 Ultra users; if you haven’t already, installing this update is highly recommended.
