Samsung’s latest smartphones are now equipped with One UI 7.0, and Galaxy Books are receiving updates to enhance compatibility. These updates introduce new features to the Samsung Settings app for Galaxy Books, preparing the laptops for seamless integration with phones and tablets running One UI 7.0.
Updating Samsung Settings for One UI 7.0 Integration
The most effective way to leverage One UI 7.0 features on your Galaxy Book is by updating the Samsung Settings app.
Step 1: Open the Microsoft Store on your Galaxy Book.
Step 2: Search for “Samsung Settings”.
Step 3: Install the latest version of the app, which includes the One UI 7.0 (Book) update.
Step 4: Open the Device Care
app.
Step 5: Update Samsung System Support
to version 7.0.10.0.
Enhanced Connectivity with Nearby Devices
The update introduces a new app called Nearby Devices (download from Microsoft Store), mirroring the functionality found in One UI 7.0 on newer Galaxy phones. This allows for quick control of the Multi Control
feature between your Galaxy Book and phone. Users have reported successful device recognition between a Galaxy Book 3 Pro and a Galaxy S25+, for example.
File Access with Storage Share
A new app called Storage Share (download from Microsoft Store) provides Galaxy Book users running One UI 7.0 with access to their phone’s internal storage directly through Windows Explorer, similar to the Link to Windows app.
Camera Share Feature
Samsung has also introduced a ‘Camera Share’ app for Galaxy Book laptops. This allows you to utilize your Galaxy phone’s camera as a webcam for your Galaxy Book, offering an alternative to the built-in webcam.
These updates streamline the connection between your Samsung Galaxy devices, making your Galaxy Book an even more integrated part of your mobile ecosystem.
