Samsung Debuts S85F OLED TV in South Korea: Price, Specs, and Availability

Samsung’s 2025 OLED TV lineup, unveiled at CES 2025, includes the S85F, S90F, and S95F models. The base model, the S85F, is now available in South Korea, marking its initial market release. The S85F is currently available in one size, but other sizes are expected to launch at a later date.

However, early adopters should note that the S85F may use LG Display’s WRGB OLED panel instead of Samsung Display’s QD-OLED technology. Here’s a breakdown of its price, availability, and specifications.

Samsung S85F Price and Availability

The Samsung S85F OLED TV is currently available for purchase in South Korea, offered in a single 55-inch size. It’s priced at KRW 1,690,000, which is approximately $1,164. It can be purchased from Samsung’s official online store in South Korea.

At CES 2025, Samsung displayed the TV in 65-inch, 77-inch, and 83-inch sizes. The release of these additional sizes is anticipated in the future.

Samsung S85F Specifications

The Samsung S85F 55-inch OLED TV, identified by model number KQ55SF85AEXKR in South Korea, features a 55-inch OLED panel with 4K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It also supports HDR, HDR10+, and AMD FreeSync Premium.

The type of OLED panel—either Samsung Display’s QD-OLED or LG Display’s WRGB OLED—is unconfirmed. The absence of “Quantum Dot” or “QD” mentions in the product listing suggests it may utilize LG Display’s WRGB OLED panel.
