PS Portal Streams Over 200 Games Without PS5 Now

The PS Portal is taking another step toward becoming a true standalone handheld, now capable of streaming more than 200 games without needing a PS5 console. This cloud streaming feature is currently in beta for PS Plus Premium subscribers. While Sony hasn’t announced a full launch date, the beta functionality is already quite robust.

Using a Fan-Made Site

A very helpful fan-created website, PSPortal.games, allows you to filter a list of streamable games by country. You can also register for updates to be notified when new titles are available for streaming.

Checking Reddit

Since official updates on the game catalog can be infrequent, PS Portal users have been compiling their own lists of compatible games. A comprehensive list on Reddit currently features over 212 titles, with Sony consistently adding more games to the service.

Keep in mind that cloud streaming availability depends on your region. Some regions, like Australia, have PS Plus Deluxe, which is offered instead of Premium in areas where internet infrastructure may not fully support cloud streaming.

Hopefully, we’ll see a complete standalone PlayStation handheld in the future.
