Google provides a variety of methods for incorporating images, and once inserted, these images can be cropped and adjusted for a polished, professional presentation.
Ways to Add Images in Google Docs or Slides

Drag & Drop from the Web
The drag-and-drop method is a quick way to insert images directly from a website into your document or presentation.
Step 1: Open a Google Docs or Slides file in one browser tab.
Step 2: In a separate browser tab, find the image you want to add.
Step 3: Click and hold the image, then drag it from the webpage directly into your Google Docs or Slides file.
Adding Images with the Explore Tool
The Explore
tool offers a research-integrated method of adding images to your document.
Step 1: Open your Google Docs or Slides file.
Step 2: Go to Tools
> Explore
. This will open the Explore
pane on the right side of your screen.
Step 3: Type a search term related to the image you need in the Explore
pane’s search bar.
Step 4: Select the “Images” tab within the Explore
pane.
Step 5: Hover over the image you want to add. A plus sign (+) icon will appear. Click the plus sign to insert the image into your document. The tool automatically cites the image source as a footnote.
