Note: Characters in each tier are not ranked by their order. This tier list is based on character performance in early, mid and late game content. Like all tier lists, this is subjective. Play whichever characters you enjoy most.
SS-Tier Characters

Acheron
- Rarity: 5-star
- Element: Lightning
- Path: Nihility
Acheron is currently considered the strongest DPS unit in Honkai Star Rail. She can deal outrageously high damage numbers with minimal investment. Her Ultimate can deal AoE Toughness damage regardless of enemy weakness type, making her strong against any enemy. Acheron’s Technique also instantly kills normal enemies without entering combat, making her very useful for quickly clearing story content and exploring new areas.
Acheron works well with other Nihility support units that can apply debuffs. Her Ultimate charges based on the number of debuffs applied to enemies rather than energy, making it easy to use frequently with the right team composition. Each Ultimate deals extremely high damage, allowing Acheron to carry teams through most in-game content.
Feixiao
- Rarity: 5-star
- Element: Wind
- Path: Hunt
Feixiao is on par with Acheron when it comes to damage output, but is more single-target oriented. Her Ultimate is her biggest strength, dealing massive single target damage that’s perfect for elite enemies and bosses. Like Acheron, Feixiao’s Ultimate deals toughness damage regardless of enemy weakness.
As a follow-up type DPS, Feixiao can perform follow-up attacks frequently throughout fights. This gives her more viability against multiple targets compared to other Hunt path characters. Feixiao’s Ultimate charges based on ally attacks rather than energy, allowing her to use it very frequently in follow-up focused teams.
Robin
- Rarity: 5-star
- Element: Physical
- Path: Harmony
Robin is an extremely capable support unit who can buff the damage output of all allies and advance the entire team’s turn with her Ultimate. She works especially well with follow-up attack characters by increasing their crit damage. Robin’s kit allows her to fit into almost any team composition as a versatile support.
Tribbie
- Rarity: 5-star
- Element: Quantum
- Path: Harmony
Tribbie is the latest support character and is considered extremely powerful. She massively increases team damage output with long buff durations, can deal damage herself through ally attacks, and can perform follow-up attacks when allies use their Ultimates. Tribbie has easily claimed an SS-tier spot, surpassing even Ruan Mei.

She provides massive damage and speed buffs, combining the roles of characters like Tingyun and Asta. Ruan Mei is especially potent in Break damage teams due to her ability to delay actions for Weakness broken enemies.
The Herta
- Rarity: 5-star
- Element: Ice
- Path: Erudition
The Herta is the strongest Erudition DPS, applying stacks to enemies based on ally and her own attacks. After using her Ultimate, her next Enhanced Skill deals increased damage based on these stacks. The Herta excels in multi-target scenarios but can also deal high single target damage by focusing stacks on one enemy.
