Clear Chrome Autofill Data

Chrome’s autofill feature is super handy for quickly filling out forms. It remembers things like payment info, addresses, contact details, and usernames.

But, it can get messy when multiple people share a Chrome account, or when your saved data gets jumbled up.

You’ve got options: you can wipe all autofill data at once, or remove specific categories based on what you need. I’ll cover both ways to give you the best approach.

Method 1: Clear all autofill entries at once

Here’s how to delete all your saved autofill data in one go.

  1. On the Chrome home page, click the three dots menu, hover over “More tools,” and then click “Clear browsing data.” This opens a new tab.
  2. Make sure you’re on the “Advanced” tab. Select the checkboxes next to “Passwords and other sign-in data” and “Autofill form data.” Deselect any other categories if you want. Then, click the “Clear data” button.

Method 2: Delete autofill information by category

The method above is great for a complete clean-up, but sometimes you just want to delete certain types of info. Here’s how to clear autofill info on a category-by-category basis:

To delete saved passwords:

  1. From Chrome’s home page, click the three dots menu, then select “Settings”.
  2. In the left sidebar, click “Autofill”.
  3. Then, click on “Password Manager”.
  4. Now you can search for a specific website using the search bar or scroll through the list.
  5. Once you find the website you want, click the three dots icon, and select “Remove”.

To delete payment methods:

  1. Go to the “Autofill” tab in Settings.
  2. Click on “Payment methods”.
  3. Find the payment method you want to remove and click the three dots next to it.
  4. Click “Remove”.

To remove saved addresses:

  1. From the “Autofill” page, click on “Addresses and more”.
  2. Find the address you want to remove and click the three dots menu next to the entry.
  3. Click “Remove”.

These methods should be really helpful if you’ve got extra autofill entries or mixed up values that you need to sort out.
