ChatGPT in your Edge Sidebar - Quick Guide

ChatGPT has become a really popular tool for all sorts of things, from writing code to summarizing long articles, and it seems like everyone is using it, whether they’re professionals or students.

Basically, ChatGPT is a super-smart AI chatbot that can do a lot. Besides what I just mentioned, it can even help you pick out gifts, or just have some casual conversations about anything.

If you find yourself using ChatGPT a lot, going to the website all the time can get annoying.

Good news! If you’re using Microsoft Edge (the default browser on Windows, and also on Mac), you can put ChatGPT right in your sidebar. This makes it super easy to access anytime you need it, in just a couple of clicks.

Adding ChatGPT to Edge Sidebar

  1. First, open Microsoft Edge. On the right side of the browser, there’s a sidebar, click the ‘+’ button to add a new item.
  2. Next, a sidebar will show up, and there should be a search bar. Type in chat.openai.com. When you see the ‘ChatGPT’ option below, click it to select.
  3. Now, click the ‘Add’ button, and that will add ChatGPT to the sidebar.
  4. ChatGPT is now part of your sidebar. You can open it up whenever you want with a single click. The first time, it will ask you to log in or create an account.
  5. Once logged in, you can type your questions in the sidebar directly, and ChatGPT will answer right there, without having to switch tabs or windows. This is great for multi-tasking!

That’s all there is to it! Now, you can access ChatGPT right from the Edge sidebar, making things quicker and easier.
