State of Play February 2025 Leaks Hint at New Bungie Game
Details surrounding “Gummy Bears” remain scarce, although some information was found on Bungie’s website during the game’s initial development phase. Allegedly, a different team within Sony is now handling the project.
Based on available information, “Gummy Bears” is believed to be a MOBA inspired by Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. Bungie described it as a "team-based action game inspired by several genres in a brand-new, science-fantasy universe.” However, the game’s direction could have shifted since its early stages.
According to a report by a Spanish website Vandal, “Gummy Bears” will be showcased soon and will launch in 2025 on PS5, Switch, and PC. While the report didn’t mention Xbox platforms, Bungie has committed to releasing its games, including Marathon, on all platforms following its acquisition by Sony.
Considering the above and the performance of Sony’s live service games, it is possible that “Gummy Bears” will also be available on Xbox.
The official announcement should clarify the platforms the game will be released on.
