Method 1: Run system repair tools
- Launch Terminal as administrator by searching for “Terminal” in the Start menu and selecting “Run as administrator”
- When prompted by User Account Control, click “Yes”
- Select “Command Prompt” from the dropdown menu (chevron icon)
- Type this command and press Enter:
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
- After DISM completes, run System File Checker:
SFC /scannow
- Restart your computer once both scans finish
Method 2: Configure windows module installer
- Search for “Services” in Start menu and open the Services app
