Installing the OctoShop Extension
OctoShop is a browser extension that simplifies price comparisons and stock monitoring. Here’s how to install it on Chrome:

First, head over to the Chrome Web Store and search for “OctoShop” or just go directly to the OctoShop extension page.

Next, on the extension page, find the “Add to Chrome” button and click it.

A confirmation prompt will appear; click “Add extension” to finish the installation and add OctoShop to Chrome.

Now, to access the extension, open a new tab in Chrome. Click the “Extensions” icon (it looks like a puzzle piece) to the right of the address bar and you will see OctoShop in your installed extensions list.

For easier access and to get notifications, it’s a good idea to pin OctoShop to your toolbar. In the extensions menu, click the pin icon next to OctoShop. The OctoShop icon will then appear in your browser toolbar, showing notification counts. Click the icon to open OctoShop.
When you open OctoShop, you’ll see a list of all the supported online stores where the extension works.
Finding the Best Prices
OctoShop makes it super easy to see where a product is cheapest:

Go to any of the supported online stores, like Amazon, Walmart, or Target and search for the item you want to buy.

OctoShop will pop up a notification on the right side of the page, showing you how many other stores have the same product.

Click on that notification, and the OctoShop window will open. Under the “Store Comparison” tab, you’ll find a breakdown of prices from different stores, with the best price highlighted in green and labeled “Best Price”. Click “View Item” below any price to go to that store’s product page.
This is a quick way to find the lowest price and save money.
Setting up Price and Stock Alerts
OctoShop can also keep an eye on prices and stock levels for you:

In the OctoShop window, under the “Store Comparison” tab, there’s a toggle switch next to “Notify Price Change,” which is located above the “View Item” button for each store. Turn this switch on to start tracking a product.

A window will appear where you can customize your tracking:

Check frequency: This is how often OctoShop will check for price changes. Choose between Low (every 1 hour), Medium (every 30 minutes), High (every 15 minutes), and Ultra (instant).

Notify only under ($): Set the maximum price you are willing to pay. You’ll be notified when the price drops below this.

Stop tracking after: Set how many days you want the product tracked before it stops.

After you set your preferences, click “Track” to start monitoring the product.
The “Notify Price Change” toggle should now be active to show that the product is being tracked.

To see all the products you are tracking, click the “Your Tracked Items” tab at the top of the OctoShop window. From here you can view the product pages, or remove them from tracking if needed by selecting “Untrack Item”.

To check on any price change or stock notifications, look for the bell-shaped icon next to the “Your Tracked Items” tab within the OctoShop window. Any updates will show up there.
