A complete guide to setting up custom feeds in Threads

Custom feeds have arrived on Threads, bringing a personalized way to organize and view content from specific accounts based on your interests. This feature helps users break free from the default algorithm and curate their own content streams, similar to other social platforms but with a more straightforward approach.

  1. Access the custom feeds menu by clicking the arrow icon located at the top of your Threads web interface.

  1. Select ‘Create new feed’ from the dropdown options that appear.

  1. Use the search functionality at the top to find topics or accounts related to your desired custom feed theme.

  1. Click the ‘Add’ button next to accounts you want to include. You can combine both specific accounts and topic-based searches in your custom feed.

  1. After selecting your desired accounts, press the ‘Continue’ button at the bottom of the screen.

  1. Give your custom feed a name by entering it in the text field, then click ‘Done’ to create your feed.

  1. Your new custom feed will display on screen. Access additional options by tapping the three dots in the top right corner, where you can pin the feed to your homepage or modify its settings.

Note: Custom feeds remain flexible after creation - you can add or remove accounts, adjust the feed name, and modify settings at any time.

  1. Navigate between ‘Top’ and ‘Recent’ sorting options within your custom feed to view content according to your preference.

  1. Switch between different feeds easily from the main page using the dropdown arrow to select your desired feed view.
